EXERCISE NOTTE SCURA  ‘’BRILLIANT SWORD’’  

This exercise is part of the process of maintaining full operational capabilities within N.A.T.O.
Simulation of operational projection of a command cell for the conduct of special forces operations – “Special Operation Component Command” that can be integrated into N.A.T.O command structures – and its activation under an international peace mission. During the tutorial, the command so formed was called upon to support COMFOS (Comando Forze per Operazioni Speciali) in a logistic setting and in a realistic simulated framework activation. All the command and control functions, necessary to guide special operations in an environment characterized by a high threat,were activated and practiced.

I worked as a trainee for about 6 months in 2001 at the Front office
Of the White Elephant Sea Lodge in Malindi (Kenya), fulfilling all the functions and responsibilities of a receptionist.
At the same time during free hours I joined the animation service of the tourist resort and organized recreational activities to entertain those who were on vacation, arranging for them different moments of leisure and organizing gymnastics activities inside and outside the touristic village.

Induction on the behavior to be taken in case of capture in enemy territory; Operations in the presence of artificial obstacles such as clandestine roadblocks and mining fields, helicopter landing zone training, simulation of kidnapping and subsequent imprisonment with deprivation of senses, water and food, Good and bad interrogators / detainees, release and subsequent debriefing activities.

1)Operation   ‘’Domino’’ 2003 The operation commenced following the September 11, 2001 attacks on twin towers, as a result of which the Council of Ministers approved, by decree, on 12 October 2001 the use of Armed Forces personnel in Competition to the Public Security forces for the surveillance of sensitive points across the national territory.
The Army’s contingent was provided for the purpose of overseeing facilities considered particularly at risk.
The specific activity emerged in the intervention of the Army in the services of surveillance and control of sensitive points identified by the Prefects, in accordance with the technical and operational arrangements established with the government.
